Brian Cobb is a Principal of InnoSpace, Inc.

Before becoming a managing Principal of InnoSpace, he was employed at Ralph M. Parsons Company in Washington, D.C., the WBDC Group in Grand Rapids, MI., and Gove Associates in Kalamazoo, MI. He established InnoSpace, Inc. in Arlington, VA in 1991 with Ada Smith.

Since establishing InnoSpace, Inc., Brian has been involved in many large space planning projects. Some more significant projects he has managed or worked on include the Department of Veteran Affairs (1,535 new workstations), the General Accounting Office (over 1,300 new workstations and private offices), PEPCO (over 1,200 new workstations), the Naval Intelligence Agency, Special Olympics, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, the Department of Treasury Financial Management Services relocation to Kansas City, MadenTech Consulting, Inc., Sacred Heart Hospital in Cumberland, Maryland and numerous large reconfigurations for the Internal Revenue Service. In addition he has played a vital role in projects for Friedman, Billings & Ramsey, NASA, the Department of Health and Human Services, the FBI, the Military Sealift Command, the United States Coast Guard, the United States Department of Agriculture, the Secret Service, the United States Air Force, and the Pentagon.

While with the WBDC Group, Brian was included in a unique teaming project between WBDC and Steelcase to design Steelcase's Corporate Development Center. His role also involved the first development of Steelcase's Context furniture line. He was responsible for creating the first CAD symbols of Context and played a large role in the entire space planning process for this project.

Brian's computer-aided design expertise and extensive background in architecture and engineering has earned him a reputation for efficiency and precision. His skills include three-dimensional modeling and facilities layout. He has had advanced training on the CAP Studio design and specification package used by InnoSpace and is solely responsible for internal training of this and other design tools.

As a Principal of InnoSpace, Inc. he is also responsible for setting internal standards and production procedures. He has used his knowledge of systems furniture to establish a set of checks and balances incorporated in all projects the firm is involved in.
